Ponder This:

There is no error greater than that species of self-deception which leads intelligent beings to crave the exercise of power over other beings for the purpose of depriving these persons of their natural liberties. The golden rule of human fairness cries out against all such fraud, unfairness, selfishness, and unrighteousness. Only true and genuine liberty is compatible with the reign of love and the ministry of mercy. UB 54:1.8

How dare the self-willed creature encroach upon the rights of his fellows in the name of personal liberty when the Supreme Rulers of the universe stand back in merciful respect for these prerogatives of will and potentials of personality! No being, in the exercise of his supposed personal liberty, has a right to deprive any other being of those privileges of existence conferred by the Creators and duly respected by all their loyal associates, subordinates, and subjects. UB 54:1.9

The Bible Says:

"Let my people go."  Exodus 5:1

A President can say anything he wants, but it's what is signed into law that affects our individual unalienable rights.

10 Reasons The U.S. Is No Longer The Land Of The Free

Founding Fathers

This weeks article in review is from Jonathan Turley, the Shapiro professor of public interest law at George Washington University. He succinctly lays out the evidence of how our freedom ... our personal liberty ... has been rolled back and we are no longer the land of the free.

Americans are full of courage and passion for our country because we believe it is the greatest country on the globe, and it is, but that patriotism sometimes keeps us from calling them as we see them because we fear being mistaken as unpatriotic or anti-american.

I was recently told that I hate my country because I was criticizing this administration and their undisputable totalitarian foreign and domestic policies. Well, I guess that's one opinion, but I'd like to point out that criticizing an administration guilty of everything from gun running to assassinating American citizens has nothing to do with my country or her citizens. And I stick by what I said: "I'm ashamed of the leadership that has taken over our country and I understand why other countries hate us."

Although the Obama administration is the most arrogant, egregious and destructive in my lifetime, it is not the only one in our history. We've had a steady stream of them working in earnest for at least the last 100 years, each doing their assigned part, little by little furthering the agenda of international globalists hell-bent on owning the planet, the atmosphere, outer space and anything in, on or near those locations!

To its core I believe the National Defense Authorization Act is a betrayal by Obama and treason against the Constitution ... and guess what? I'm not the only one.

In his article 10 Reasons The U.S. Is No Longer The Land Of The Free Jonathan Turley gives a short discussion on each of the following:

Assassination of U.S. citizens

Indefinite detention

[I inserted a 1 minute YouTube clip into this section of Senator Levin on the senate floor clarifying exactly where the language precluding section 1031 of the NDAA FY2012 came from. Take a minute to watch it. I couldn't believe it! ...and Obama acted like he had reservations about signing it?? ~GLA]

Arbitrary justice

Warrantless searches

Secret evidence

War crimes

Secret court

Immunity from judicial review

Continual monitoring of citizens

Extraordinary renditions

"And in a signing statement with the defense authorization bill, Obama said he does not intend to use the latest power to indefinitely imprison citizens. Yet, he still accepted the power as a sort of regretful autocrat."

"An authoritarian nation is defined not just by the use of authoritarian powers, but by the ability to use them. If a president can take away your freedom or your life on his own authority, all rights become little more than a discretionary grant subject to executive will."

Jonathan Turley
