"3. The desire for liberty and leisure. In the earlier days of social evolution the apportionment of individual earnings among the group was virtually a form of slavery; the worker was made slave to the idler. This was the suicidal weakness of communism: The improvident habitually lived off the thrifty. Even in modern times the improvident depend on the state (thrifty taxpayers) to take care of them. Those who have no capital still expect those who have to feed them."

Communist Party, USA - California

On Tuesday April 10, 2012 at a town hall meeting at Jensen Beach, FL., Rep. Allen West (R-FL) was asked by the moderator: "What percentage of the American legislature do you think are card-carrying Marxists or International Socialist?"

Rep. West answered: "It's a good question. I believe there's about 78 to 81 members of the Democrat Party who are members of the Communist Party. It's called the Congressional Progressive Caucus."

My immediate joyous reaction to his answer was: "Yesss ... did the next Joe McCarthy just stand up?!"

Congressional Progressive Caucus Co-Chairs Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) and Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) must have thought so because they issued the following joint statement of criticism to such "outrageous" claims: "Calling fellow Members of Congress 'communists' is reminiscent of the days when Joe McCarthy divided Americans with name-calling and modern-day witch hunts that don't advance policies to benefit people's lives."

Well, uhh, Raul & Keith, I'd say the "policies to benefit people's lives" is exactly what Mr. West had in mind when answering the question to the best of his observation.

Most American's don't have a clue at the extent of Communism in our country. We've got Communist on the left of us and Fascist on the right, and here we are stuck in the middle again. A Republic that does not make.

After hearing Allen West's comment I did a little research and ran across something I'd never seen before. In 1963, at the request of Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., Rep. A. S. Herlong, Jr. of Florida read the "Current Communist Goals" taken from Cleon Skousen's book The Naked Communist into the Congressional Record.

Mrs. Nordman, like Cleon Skousen and Joe McCarthy, was concerned about the infiltration of Communism into our Republic and had the communist goals read into the records so all would know and not be in the dark.

But really, who reads Congressional Records during their leisure?

This week's article is a list of the 45 goals of Communism from the Congressional Record, Vol. 109 - 88th Congress, 1st Session - Appendix Pages A1-A2842 - Jan. 9 - May 7, 1963.

Trust me, when you start reading them and reflect on what you currently see going on around you, you're going to be ticked off. By the time you get to no. 14 you're going to be angry and when you get to no.'s 25 and 26 you're going to have blood shooting out of your eyeballs ... and it just gets more disgusting from there.
